Callow Events, in collaboration with the Mary Peters Trust, had the honor of organising a groundbreaking “In Conversation With…” panel event during the occasion of International Women’s Day. The primary objective of the event was twofold: to raise vital funds for the Mary Peters Trust and secondly to celebrate women in sport, by bringing together a phenomenal group of inspirational sporting women for a powerful discussion inspired by their resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
The female-focused event, hosted by UTV Sports Correspondent Ruth Gorman, featured prominent figures such as Dame Kelly Holmes, Marissa Callaghan, and Fionnuala Toner, alongside Mary Peters herself. In collaboration with the Mary Peters Trust, we secured sponsorship from five corporate partners, whose branding was prominently displayed on all event collateral. Extensive marketing efforts were undertaken, including social media promotion on the Mary Peters Trust platforms and the Waterfront Hall’s website. An Adshel campaign across Northern Ireland further raised awareness. Despite a change in panelists due to unforeseen circumstances, the captivating conversations and interviews led by Ruth Gorman were a resounding success. The event included a silent and live auction, raising over £6,000. With over 300 attendees, this unforgettable evening filled with uplifting narratives successfully celebrated the power of women in sport, and raised important funds for the Trust on International Women’s Day.
