Leslie Hughes OBE, a long-time supporter and sponsor of Cancer Fund for Children with support from Kris Turnbull Studios, approached Callow Events for help in orchestrating The Daisy Ball. The goal was to create an enjoyable and sophisticated gala dinner, complete with a gourmet three-course meal and premium entertainment, uniting clients, esteemed guests, and friends to raise vital funds for a charitable cause. The Daisy Ball aimed to honor Cancer Fund for Children’s remarkable work and secure ongoing support for children and families impacted by cancer.
Our personalised and targeted approach to fundraising led to a sold-out event attended by over 350 guests, including prominent local figures. During the ten-month planning phase, we orchestrated a custom live and silent auction featuring rare items such as a Cartier watch donated by Lunn’s the Jeweller and a luxurious St. Moritz weekend. Entertainment by Bjorn Again and Re-Take captivated attendees, and encouraged everyone to hit the dancefloor.
The Daisy Ball exceeded expectations, raising over £170,000 to support for Cancer Fund for Children’s vital programs, ensuring no child in Northern Ireland faces cancer alone. This substantial donation will bolster initiatives assisting affected children and families across the region, underscoring the invaluable role of dedicated supporters in the charity’s impactful work.
