Virtual Event
We were tasked by our client to create a fun & enticing virtual Christmas Party for the PWC FinCrime team here in Belfast. Their demographic was graduate to senior management level, so content needed to be attractive and encompassing of all. With all the team working from home, encouraging people out of hours to sign back on & engage with the event was key and content in turn needed to be interesting & exciting. The virtual event was to replace the FinCrime team’s annual Christmas party with key deliverables being a whole lot of fun!!
From the outset, our client wanted this Christmas party to be light-hearted, fun & personal to the employee’s tuning in from home. We began by drafting in comedian Shane Todd as our host, a popular and well-known name to the target demographic and someone whose presence would drive interest in the event.
With 220 participants joining from home, we hosted our event live from our virtual studio, streaming it live to the viewers via Youtube. We encouraged engagement by welcoming familiar faces from the FinCrime team both live into the studio & virtually via zoom all of whom interacted with our comedian host Shane who wasn’t afraid to dig deep into the personal tales & stories of the FinCrime team!
With participants watching at home, the event took on a TV show style format, taking inspiration from popular TV game show Catchphrase with in-studio contestants and live comedy sketches & interludes from Shane.
To further drive interest in the event pre-show, each participant that signed up was sent a JustEat voucher to redeem against a takeaway of their choosing to enjoy whilst watching from home. We also had some fantastic prizes including PlayStation’s, Fitbit’s, Nespresso Coffee Machines and more, all of which could only be won by watching live & taking part in the charity raffle for the FinCrime’s chosen charity.
There were plenty of laughs had by all & our hybrid approach allowed colleagues who have not seen each other in months to have fun together once again.
