We were tasked by our long-term client Allen & Overy to create a fun & social event for employees and their families to enjoy over the Halloween school holidays. With all the team working from home, encouraging people out of hours to sign back on & engage with the event was key and content in turn needed to be interesting & exciting.
Generating engagement and interest in this online virtual event was key for our client from the offset and in turn was taken into consideration when we began shaping content for the evening.
We began with a well-known local host to entice viewers as well as running a series of internal competitions pre-event to generate interest and engagement. The winners of the competitions were announced live during the event, further encouraging those at home to tune into the event and not only see their shortlisted images appear, but to find out if they were the lucky winner too. A series of raffle tickets & prizes were also drawn live throughout the evening.
With participants joining from home, we hosted our event live from our virtual studio, streaming it live to the viewers via Youtube. We encouraged further engagement by welcoming familiar faces live into the studio to take part in interactive games and chat live with our host. Kids were also told to pay particular attention to find ‘Peter Pumpkin’ anywhere on screen throughout the duration of the event, with those first to message into the chat being awarded spot prizes.
A truly Spooktacular evening, with lots of Spooktacular prizes to be won!
